About the Role

We’re looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with a strong infrastructure background who uses DevOps and automation to improve the reliability, security, and delivery of on‑premise systems.

You’ll be working primarily with on‑prem infrastructure, virtualisation, Windows Server and Linux environments, applying DevOps principles to traditional infrastructure to drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

Build, configure, and maintain on‑prem virtual infrastructure, servers, and environments
Administer and support Windows Server and Linux systems in a corporate environment
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release processes
Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Jenkins, Git
Manage and review security baselines, patching, and vulnerability remediation
Collaborate with developers and engineers to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement fixes effectively
Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base content
Contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide accurate technical input and updates to stakeholders

Essential Skills & Experience

Hands‑on Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)

Strong Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar)

Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Nutanix

Proven experience implementing DevOps practices in an infrastructure environment

CI/CD tooling experience (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)

Infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)

Strong understanding of on‑prem infrastructure and data centre environments

Comfortable working to security standards and best practice
