Accounting Assistant (AAT Part Qualified) | SAP | Hybrid

Contract duration - 3 months to start

Location - On site in Nottingham

We’re partnering with a global life sciences organisation to recruit a Accounting Assistant to join their high-performing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT part-qualified professional looking to gain broad exposure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This role plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance function.

The Role

You’ll be involved in:

Entering client contracts and raising purchase orders in SAP
Supporting the month-end close process
Bank statement downloads, postings, and reconciliations
Assisting with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable queries
Updating master data within SAP
Producing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting external audits and ensuring SOX compliance
Contributing to ongoing finance efficiency projects
Providing ad hoc cover across the finance team as required

This is a varied role offering strong development exposure across financial reporting, audit, and transactional finance.

About You

AAT Part Qualified (or equivalent)
Strong working knowledge of SAP (preferred)
Confident communicator with professional verbal and written skills
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis)
Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented
