Business Analyst – Derivatives SME | Energy Trading House | Up to £900/Day Inside IR35 | Hybrid | 6 months rolling

This Derivatives Business Analyst is needed for a energy and commodities trading house that is growing their derivatives function. They are revolutionising their trading expertise with advanced analytics, digital capability and a strong focus on innovation. As this Derivatives Business Analyst you will be part of a business critical team through continuous delivery and constant improvement of Front Office IT and practices.

This Business Analyst role will sit with derivative traders and the Front Office IT team to analyse business requirements, define solutions, and support the delivery of high‑quality trading and analytics tools, within the fast-paced environment.

As this Derivatives Business Analyst, success in the role includes:

Quant models successfully deployed into production trading environments.
Scenario frameworks actively used by Traders to shape strategy
Improved transparency between model outputs and realised P&L

As this Derivatives Business Analyst you will also work with Traders, Quants, data scientists & data engineers to ensure advanced modelling outputs are integrated into trading workflows, reporting and downstream processes.

Paying up to £900 (Inside IR35)

Hybrid – 2/3 days on‑site (Oxford Circus)

⏰ 6‑month rolling contract (Multi-year)

Technical Skills required by this Derivatives Business Analyst include:

Strong understanding of Python.
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.
Ability to interface with mathematical or quantitative models.
Experience with ETRM systems and knowledge of the end‑to‑end trade lifecycle
Familiarity with derivatives products - extensive knowledge of Greeks.
