A leading consultancy firm are seeking a highly skilled AI platform engineer to join the business and take ownership of a global, large scale, proprietary enterprise AI-first platform. The role offers complete autonomy over the build, architecture and scaling of the platform globally.

The right engineer should bring experience with Neo4j, production grade LLM / AI capabilities (RAG, embeddings, inference pipelines), Kafka, Java / JVM and API-first architecture.

The position offers a rare modernisation opportunity, you'd be transitioning from a third-party engineering team to inhouse - asses, rationalise and rebuild governance, make decisions on build vs buy. The environment is real AI production and scaling.

Responsibilities:

Build a global engineering capability
Stand up and shape offshore delivery model
Hire and define the internal engineering bar
Establish quality CI/CD architectural discipline
Lead strategy, design and architecture
Remain hands on with engineering throughout scaling

As the business positions technology and AI at the forefront of it's growth this role could progress to a CTO seat for the right individual.
