We are looking for a Devops Engineer to lead the design, build, and for the operation of secure, scalable DevOps capabilities for digital services. You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure delivery, ensuring compliance with DDaT standards and best practices. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and embed reliability, observability, and security across platforms. This is a hybrid’s role with travel to the client required on a frequent basis.
SC clearance will be required ( you will need to have at least 5 years of continuous UK residency to be eligible).
In this role, you will:
Implement advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to guarantee system reliability and performance.
Enhance observability for proactive issue detection.
Work closely with developers, testers, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in DevOps and agile delivery.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.
Champion adherence to DDaT standards.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
Hands-on leadership in designing and operating secure, scalable platforms.
Infrastructure as Code: Expertise in Terraform or equivalent and automated provisioning.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS services or equivalent and governance.
Containerization & Orchestration: Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker.
CI/CD Expertise: Advanced knowledge of GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Security Practices: Deep understanding of secure DevOps principles and cloud security.
Problem-Solving & Reliability Engineering: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and design resilient systems.
