Position Title: Senior Quality Engineering – Automation

Rate: $60–$70 per hour
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with strong automation expertise to support the delivery of high-quality digital products. This role focuses on validating the performance, stability, and functionality of web and mobile applications through comprehensive testing practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, developers, and other technical stakeholders to ensure applications meet both functional requirements and user expectations. The position requires a mix of manual testing knowledge, automation development, and strong collaboration within an Agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement test strategies and detailed test plans for web and mobile platforms.
Oversee complete testing cycles including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Work with cross-functional teams to review requirements, build test cases, and identify potential edge scenarios.
Create and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or comparable frameworks.
Conduct API validation using platforms such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or REST-Assured to confirm backend and frontend interactions.
Utilize BDD and TDD methodologies when developing test scenarios and automation suites.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
Perform compatibility testing across browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure consistent user experience.
Analyze testing outcomes, document defects, and partner with development teams to resolve issues.
Promote testing standards, quality assurance best practices, and security considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
Stay informed about evolving testing technologies and methodologies.
Apply Agile and DevOps principles when designing automation strategies and integrating tests within development workflows.
Use cloud-based device testing platforms such as Perfecto, Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or LambdaTest.
Exposure to emerging AI or GenAI tools applied to quality engineering is considered an asset.
Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on web and mobile testing.
Demonstrated experience in both manual testing and automation development.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
Strong knowledge of REST API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar technologies.
Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android, including simulators and physical devices.
Familiarity with cross-browser testing solutions such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Jenkins and Git.
Strong analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
