Senior Software Engineer (Mobile)

A leading global technology organisation is launching a brand‑new Mobile Innovation Squad, focused on elevating and modernising the mobile app experience for millions of users worldwide. The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and evolve an ambitious mobile‑focused product roadmap. Reporting into a Technical Lead, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering high‑quality solutions across both backend services and native/hybrid mobile applications.
You’ll work in a collaborative environment alongside Product Managers, QAs, fellow engineers, and delivery partners, helping to modernise a major digital ecosystem while championing strong engineering standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build high‑quality, scalable mobile and backend features using modern frameworks
Lead by example in code quality, testing, architecture, and engineering discipline
Take ownership of deployments, monitoring, and release quality across environments
Conduct and guide code reviews, including complex or cross‑service changes
Collaborate with QA on testing strategy—unit, integration, functional
Improve observability and proactively resolve system‑level issues
Mentor and support engineers, contributing to a strong knowledge‑sharing culture
Ensure secure coding practices and support responses to security concerns
Work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
Technical Experience
Strong hands‑on skills in JavaScript, Java, PHP, C#, or .NET
Proven mobile development experience across iOS and Android
Swift / Objective‑C or Kotlin / Java
React Native
Strong grasp of design patterns and hexagonal architecture
Experience building and documenting REST APIs
Solid understanding of NoSQL and relational databases
Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern cloud practices
Familiarity with CI/CD, feature toggles, A/B testing, and release strategies
Awareness of secure coding and the ability to identify vulnerabilities
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts simply
Background in architectural thinking and system‑level design
