About the Job you are considering:

We are looking for a Solution Designer to support end to end design and delivery of technology solutions. The role involves translating business requirements into robust scalable and secure technical designs ensuring alignment with the architecture standards regulatory expectations and digital transformation goals

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

Collaborate with Product Owners Business Analysts Architects and Engineering teams to define high level and low-level solution designs
Analyse business requirements and convert them into functional technical and integration design specifications
Ensure solutions adhere to Barclays architecture frameworks security protocols data governance and regulatory compliance eg GDPR PSD2 FCA guidelines
Work across cross functional squads to design end to end journeys across channels APIs applications and backend systems
Support design reviews feasibility assessments effort estimates and dependency mapping
Provide guidance during development SITUAT and production rollout to ensure alignment with approved designs
Identify technical risks and propose mitigations while ensuring design scalability performance and resilience
Maintain solution documentation sequence diagrams integration contracts and data flow mappings

Your Skills:

7 years of experience in solution design application design or integration design within large enterprises BFSI experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of banking domains such as payments cards current accounts lending digital channels or customer servicing platforms
Working knowledge of microservices RESTful APIs OASSwagger eventdriven architectures and integration patterns
Experience designing solutions using technologies like Java NET React Angular or cloudnative stacks experience with AWSAzure is a plus but not mandatory if you want to remove
Strong understanding of data models security models authentication authorization OAuth2 IAM and NFRs
Familiarity with Agile delivery ScrumSAFe JiraConfluence CICD and DevOps practices
Ability to break down complex business problems into structured well documented design artefacts
