OB have recently partnered with a leading AI-native consultancy who are hiring for a Principal AI Engineer to define the architecture and direction of advanced LLM systems within a cutting-edge AI engineering team.

This is a high-impact technical leadership role focused on designing scalable AI platforms, solving complex problems and guiding teams building production-grade AI systems.

What you'll do

• Architect large-scale LLM systems and AI platforms

• Design advanced RAG pipelines and agentic architectures

• Set technical standards for AI engineering and LLM workflows

• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on high-level AI strategy

• Guide engineers through complex technical challenges

• Remain hands-on building AI systems in Python

Tech Stack

• Python

• LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph)

• RAG architectures

• Claude / modern LLM APIs

• Agentic AI systems

Requirements

• Extensive experience building and deploying LLM systems

• Expertise designing AI architectures and complex LLM workflows

• Strong Python engineering background

• Experience across software engineering, data science, or data engineering

• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments

• Bonus: experience in consulting or client-facing environments
