Job Summary

We’re looking for an Associate Data Engineer to join our Data and Insight team.

You will help develop and maintain data products for both Ofsted staff and external audiences, working with Microsoft SQL Server, Excel and Power Platform tools such as Power BI and Power Automate.

You will build knowledge across multiple remit areas, develop technical skills to extract, quality‑assure, and analyse data, and contribute to inspection analysis, management information and business intelligence reporting. You’ll also apply robust quality assurance processes to your own work and that of colleagues. The postholder will work closely with a small, supportive team to deliver high‑quality outputs to tight deadlines and respond to a wide range of data requests.

A level 3 qualification (e.g. A level) in a numerate subject or equivalent relevant knowledge and experience or professional qualification.

Experience of using Power Platform technologies (e.g. Power BI). (Desirable)
