Location: York – Hybrid (4 days in office per week)

Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and secure Azure infrastructure to ensure availability, resilience, and performance.
Lead on cloud security architecture, covering identity, access controls, governance, and threat mitigation.
Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, cloud, and security incidents.
Deliver cloud migration, optimisation, and security improvement projects.
Administer endpoint management and compliance through Microsoft Intune and Group Policy.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting through Azure Monitor, Sentinel, and other security tooling.
Maintain patching schedules, backup strategies, and disaster recovery processes.
Requirements
Extensive experience in infrastructure and security engineering roles within enterprise or multi-site environments.
Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, including networking, governance, RBAC, and security controls.
Proven experience with Microsoft 365 security, Azure AD (Entra ID), Conditional Access, and endpoint protection.
Practical scripting and automation capability with tools such as PowerShell or Bash.
Solid understanding of incident response, vulnerability management, and continuity planning.
Confident communicator, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to participate in very occasional out-of-hours support when required.
