Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Java Front Office Developer with strong experience in Securities Lending platforms and front office trading environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with traders, quants, and risk teams to design and enhance mission-critical trading systems.
This role requires a highly hands-on developer with strong Java expertise and deep knowledge of securities lending workflows, trading platforms, and financial markets technology.
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience with Java development in the Securities Lending domain
• Strong knowledge of Securities Lending platforms such as FIS (Loanet/Loanex) or Global One
• Experience building or supporting mission-critical trading platforms including Order Management Systems, Stock Loan systems, or Market Data systems
• BTCC experience
• Experience collaborating directly with trading desks, quants, and risk teams
• Expertise with DevSecOps tools and methodologies including Jenkins, Ansible, PuppetLabs, SonaType, SonarQube, Tenable, Invicti, and Zero Networks
• Experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks
• Solid understanding of back-end and front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with databases including Oracle, SQL Server, or Snowflake
• Proficiency with Git and Agile development methodologies
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of Java development experience, preferably within capital markets or financial services
Good to Have
• Experience with AI or machine learning platforms such as DL4J
• Experience with log observability tools such as ElasticSearch, Kibana, or Splunk
• Familiarity with pricing models, quantitative analysis, and P&L calculations
• Experience with leading trading platforms such as Quod, FlexTrade, Charles River Trader, Nuvoprime, or Murex
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of regulatory, risk, compliance, and audit controls within the Securities Lending domain
