Job Specifications

We are looking for a Senior System Integration and Workflow Specialist for an EU Insitution in Brussels (50% onsite).

Knowledge and skills:

• Excellent knowledge of HTTP and API design

• Excellent knowledge of JEE and REST or SOAP APIs.

• Excellent knowledge of at least one BPMN workflow engine.

• Excellent knowledge of asynchronous communication and publish/subscribe techniques and technologies: Apache Kafka, JMS.

• Excellent knowledge of integration testing best practices.

• Working knowledge of AI-powered code assistants (e.g., Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot) for accelerating coding processes and enhancing developer productivity.

• Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and cloud native architectures.

• Good knowledge in GRPC and Protobuf format.

• Good knowledge of distributed or microservice architectures and complex event processing.

• Good knowledge in Web security, OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect.

• Excellent problem solving skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Participation in open source projects.

• Good writing skills: documentation is part of the tasks.

• Ability to produce IT architecture document about complex integration patterns

• Aptitude in reporting

• In depth knowledge of information systems.

• Ability to apply high quality standards to all tasks.

• Experience of Workflow applications.

• Experience with relational databases.

Specific expertise :

• At least 5 years of experience with Java/JEE

• At least 5 years of experience with SOAP and/or REST

• At least 5 years of experience with BPMN

• At least 3 years of experience with Jira

CERTIFICATIONS & STANDARDS:

Following certificates & standards are an asset for the performance of tasks:

• Business Process Management,

• workflow patterns,

• microservice architectures and patterns,

• Domain Driven Design,

• Enterprise Integration Patterns,

• Complex event processing,

• API design and security.
