Power Platform Developer / Microsoft 365 Automation Engineer (Contract)

Outside IR35

Up to £550/day | Immediate start preferred

We’re hiring a Power Platform Developer / Microsoft 365 Automation Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading Microsoft Solution Partners and an Azure Expert MSP.

You’ll support workshops and hands-on implementation across Power Platform, Purview and wider data protection initiatives, helping deliver automation, integration, and compliance solutions that underpin a broader Digital Enablement + governance strategy.

What you’ll be doing

Lead/support workshops to shape governance, compliance, and automation outcomes.
Build solutions with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Dataverse.
Automate SharePoint + Teams provisioning and lifecycle management.
Integrate Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Graph to generate compliance reporting.
Implement intelligent workflows across Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Strengthen Power Platform governance: CoE, DLP policies, monitoring, and guardrails.
Deliver scalable, reusable automation frameworks as part of Automation as a Service (AaaS).

Immediate priorities (day 1 focus)

Update the Power Platform Centre of Excellence (tooling, reporting, standards, adoption)
Help complete the operating model (roles, controls, processes, decision points).
Ensure best-practice configuration and rollout for:
DLP (Power Platform)
eDiscovery (Purview)
Insider Risk Management (Purview)

What we’re looking for...

Must-have

Strong experience across Power Platform + Dataverse.
PowerShell proficiency for SharePoint/Teams automation.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Purview (data protection/compliance features and governance).
Microsoft Graph API experience, plus Azure Functions / Logic Apps knowledge.
Experience building Power BI dashboards for compliance/adoption visibility.
Understanding of M365 governance frameworks (retention, labelling, access controls).

Improve visibility into compliance and data protection adoption.
Ensure consistent provisioning aligned with governance standards.
Establish sustainable, scalable automation practices across the roadmap.
