Responsibilities

Own the privacy function and serve as a legal advisor on all privacy and data protection matters.
Identify, assess, and mitigate privacy-related legal risks across cutting-edge technologies and products.
Advise on privacy implications related to data use, AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
Design and deliver privacy training programs for employees across the organization.
Build and maintain relationships with key regulators and external stakeholders.
Stay abreast of emerging legal and regulatory developments in U.S. and global privacy and data protection laws.

Must-Have Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
7+ years of combined legal experience at technology companies and law firms
Extensive privacy counsel experience.
Experience independently owning and scaling a legal function or subject-matter area.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Start-up experience
Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data-intensive technologies.
Top-tier law firm background.
Experience building privacy programs at high-growth startups or scaling technology companies.
