Location: Redmond, WA, United States

Contract: 6+ Months

Pay Rate: $100/hr, W2

Job Summary

The Software Engineer works on calibration and data collection software used with hardware and robotics systems. The role includes developing and maintaining software (mainly in C/C++ and Python), debugging issues, supporting experiments, and helping move research solutions into production systems.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain and update data collection software and hardware systems.

Modify and develop calibration software (C/C++ and Python).

Debug software and analyze errors.

Support hardware bring-up and verify device functionality.

Design and run experiments to test product quality.

Work with robotics systems and automation processes.

Perform device calibration and operate test equipment.

Troubleshoot Linux and system-level issues.

Document processes and support project planning.

Must-Have Skills

Strong C/C++ programming skills.

Basic knowledge of Python or Bash scripting.

Familiarity with Linux systems.

Understanding of basic statistics and error analysis.

Experience working with hardware or in a lab environment.

Preferred Skills

Experience with robotics or mechatronics.

Experience troubleshooting Linux drivers.

Knowledge of camera optics and calibration.

Experience with VR/AR systems.

Data analysis and visualization skills.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

Or relevant technical apprenticeship in electronics.
