Software Engineer -Cambridge UK

The Software Engineer should be passionate about working on complex software using industry-leading technologies such as React and TypeScript.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Developing code to enable software engineers to deliver products more efficiently.
Troubleshoot and fix technical issues that arise and maintain existing code.
Work with other developers, designers, product owners, and QA to build and improve our tools and software.
Reduce technical debt and improve our software delivery systems.
Clearly communicate technical decisions, vision, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Design and implement new software features.
Build and deliver software that revolutionizes how things are made.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years’ experience programming in commercial, open-source or academic software in a senior role
Deep understanding of Typescript and working knowledge of other languages and frameworks such as React, OpenGL, WebGL, C#, and Microsoft development tools
BSc or BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent in engineering, mathematics or computer science.
Strong experience in software toolchains, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and good software development practices.
Ability to work in a Scrum/Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern software development methodologies and tools
Solid understanding of frontend and/or backend architecture
Any or all of the following languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, C++, C#
An understanding of how to maintain Continuous Integration builds.
Familiarity with AWS (ECS, EC2, S3, …)
Knowledge in any of the following: JavaScript test frameworks, Electron, yarn, npm, Node, React, GraphQL.
