Role Profile
As a Python Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing complex Server Side components that support our core engineering streams. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand complex requirements, prioritize tasks, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help unblock current bandwidth constraints and ensure the successful delivery of our project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-quality, scalable Server Side components using Python (Java is a plus).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
Embrace Agile and Lean software development practices to enhance project delivery.
Engage with demanding stakeholders, articulating problems and solutions clearly and concisely.
Leverage your knowledge of Bank of America Quartz technology stack and derivatives risk domain to inform your development work.
Stay updated with the latest trends in financial services, particularly in derivatives risk systems, and apply this knowledge to your projects.
Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable Python development experience, with optional proficiency in Java.
Proven experience in financial services, specifically within markets related to Front Office derivatives risk systems or pretrade/origination/post-trade management systems.
A degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
Strong understanding of Agile and Lean software development practices and tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions.
Knowledge of the Bank of America Quartz technology stack is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with pricing and risk management of derivative products, including Greeks and Scenarios.
In-depth knowledge of equity derivatives, including futures, options, and convertibles.
