Title: Junior Accounts Payable Associate

Status: 3 month Contract, Full time

Salary: $25-30/hr

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia - Must be onsite 4 days per week

**This is a 3 month contract to begin immediately**

Responsibilities:

We are looking for Junior Accounts Payable Associates to join our client’s finance team in Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a business or accounting background to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Training will be provided by experienced team members.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
Assist with payment runs and reconciliations.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Support the team with ad hoc finance tasks as required.

What you bring to the role:

Business Degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
Prior experience in accounting, finance, or controllership functions.
Professional designation (CPA, CIA) or working toward one is an asset (including equivalent international designations).
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible shifts if required.
