About The Role

Qualitest is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to join a high-performing delivery team supporting a strategic client engagement. This role focuses on building modern, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces using React.js, working within a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment.

You will play a key role in developing user-facing features, translating design concepts into high-quality code, and contributing to reusable frontend architecture aligned with modern engineering and AI-enabled development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain modern user-facing applications using React.js
Build reusable components and frontend libraries to support scalable development
Translate wireframes and UI/UX designs into clean, maintainable, and high-quality code
Optimize applications for maximum performance across browsers and devices
Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and backend engineers within Agile teams
Implement effective state and data management solutions (e.g., Apollo)
Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and engineering best practices
Ensure code quality through version control, peer reviews, and continuous improvement
Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and AI-led development approaches

Essential Skills & Experience

5+ years’ commercial experience developing frontend applications using React.js
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with state/data management libraries such as Apollo
Proven experience building reusable and scalable frontend components
Strong understanding of web performance optimisation techniques
Experience working with Git or similar version control systems
Solid understanding of modern web architectures and development trends
Experience working within Agile delivery environments
Exposure to AI-assisted or AI-led development practices

Nice to Have

Experience working within enterprise-scale or client-facing delivery environments
Knowledge of modern frontend testing approaches
Experience contributing to shared component libraries or design systems
