Asana is seeking a Head of Global Events to own the strategy, execution, and evolution of our global events portfolio. This leader will set the vision for how events drive brand awareness, pipeline, and user adoption while building the operational muscle to deliver complex, high-ROI programs at scale.
This role owns end-to-end strategy and delivery across Asana’s experiences portfolio—including Work Innovation Summits, executive experiences, third-party tradeshows, partner events, sales kickoffs, and user/community events—ensuring each program ladders to clear business outcomes and a cohesive Asana narrative.
You’ll lead a high-performing global team, partner closely with a complex ecosystem of internal teams and external agencies, and act as the single-threaded owner for Strategic events, one of most visible and revenue-impacting engines.
The right candidate does their best work under pressure, navigates complex environments with ease, demonstrates scrappiness, can adapt on a dime and has a penchant for building programs from the ground up – all while knowing how to creatively and resourcefully bring experiential magic to everything they touch.
This role is based in our SF or New York office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve:
Define the global events strategy and portfolio mix, aligning investments to business priorities Establish clear event tiers, objectives, success metrics, and ROI frameworks across owned and third party events
Translate company strategy, product narrative, and go-to-market priorities into compelling live experiences.
Lead planning and delivery of complex, multi-region events—from concept to post-event performance analysis.
Ensure operational excellence across logistics, production, vendor management, budgeting, risk management, and timelines.
Build repeatable systems, playbooks, and processes that allow the events engine to scale without sacrificing quality.
Act as a trusted partner and API to Sales, Product Marketing, Product, Field Marketing, Brand, Comms, Finance, and Procurement.
Collaborate with executives on high-stakes moments (keynotes, exec dinners, board-adjacent events). Ability to manage across and up, while driving influence without authority in a highly matrixed environment.
Comfortably and effectively communicate and present plans to leadership, with an ability to distill information.
Manage and mentor a team of 5 event managers across the globe
Set clear goals, operating rhythms, and standards of excellence.
Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, high standards, and calm execution under pressure.
Manage multi-million dollar event budget, including investment strategy and identifying funding gaps
Partner with Marketing Ops, Analytics, and Revenue teams to define and report on pipeline (generation, maturation, close), cost efficiency, ROI, and product adoption.
Manage multiple, complex and simultaneous timelines in a fast paced environment. Identify ways to better operationalize with AI.
Regularly report on performance and use data and insights to continuously optimize the portfolio and inform future investment decisions.
About you:
12+ years of experience events, experiential marketing, or integrated marketing roles.
Proven ownership of large-scale, global flagship summits and executive-level experiences.
Experience leading and scaling high-performing teams.
Strong background in B2B, SaaS, or technology environments. Experience using Asana is a plus.
Strategic thinker who can zoom out to portfolio strategy and zoom in to execution details.
Deep operational rigor—budgeting, timelines, vendors, and risk management are second nature.
Data-driven mindset with fluency in ROI, pipeline attribution, and performance measurement.
Exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive presence.
Ownership mindset. Willingness to roll up your sleeves and find creative solutions to ambiguous challenges
