Contract Software Developer - Full Stack (Azure, C# & React) - Immediate start

Location: Leeds / UK Based – Flexible Working

Duration: 6 months initially

Contract Type: £450-500pd - OUTSIDE of IR35, Full time hours (37.5 per week)

WRK digital are delighted to be shortlisting for Contract Software Developers with strong full-stack capabilities across .NET/C# and React applications for a leading Financial Services client.

The Tech Stack

Backend: C#, .NET

Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript with React

Database: SQL (queries, views, and stored procedures)

Infrastructure: CI/CD pipelines and application architecture

The Role

You'll be working in an agile development team on systems within the financial services sector. The team are developing high-quality applications with a focus on data integrity, compliance, and scalability. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Contract Developer with an understanding of modern best-practice software engineering and experience in regulated environments.

What You'll Be Doing

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using C#, .NET, and React.

- Build responsive front-end solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript (React)

- Create reliable data solutions by writing and optimising SQL queries, views, and stored procedures

- Work hands-on with development teams, reviewing code quality and maintaining architectural standards

- Support CI/CD processes, release pipelines, and coding best practices

- Engage with business stakeholders to determine technical requirements (Bonus if you have experience of core banking platforms)

- Contribute to systems supporting KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance processes

The contract is an initial 6-month engagement working with this Yorkshire based team (must be UK based for occasional travel time), with strong potential to extend or transition to a permanent role.
