AI Engineer - Contract (AI Workflows, Outside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Rate: Dependent on experience

IR35: Outside

Location: UK – Remote, 1 day per week onsite in London

We’re seeking Multiple AI Engineer's to join a client of ours on a 6-month contract, helping embed AI into business workflows. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in modern AI frameworks and tooling, capable of driving practical AI solutions while maintaining robust governance and technical standards.

Responsibilities

Design and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance workflows across business functions
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product teams to integrate AI models into production systems
Build and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines, including training, validation, inference, and monitoring
Apply principles of AI governance, compliance, and explainability in model deployment
Explore and implement agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, and other advanced AI tooling
Support the adoption of best practices around AI lifecycle management and workflow automation

Required Experience

Proven commercial experience as an AI Engineer
Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with modern AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Agentic AI, etc.)
Experience deploying AI solutions into production workflows
Understanding of AI governance, explainability, and risk management
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment

Nice to Have

Exposure to workflow automation, RPA, or intelligent agents
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for AI deployment
Experience in MLOps or AI lifecycle management

Contract Details

Rate: Dependent on experience (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension
Location: Remote, with 1 day per week onsite in London
