Data Engineer AWS

Location: Belgium

Rate: €350 /Day

Level: Junior / Mid-level

As part of the operation and evolution of its AWS Data & Analytics platform, we are looking for an AWS Data Engineer consultant with initial relevant experience, capable of working autonomously on operational activities while being supported on more complex topics.

Mission Objectives

Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application and technical support
Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing Data solutions
Participate in the design and implementation of Data & Analytics solutions
Ensure the quality, performance, and documentation of deliverables
Work closely with internal teams and other project stakeholders

Technical Environment

Cloud: AWS
Data & Analytics: Data Lake, Big Data, BI
AWS Services: AWS S3, AWS Athena, AWS EMR, AWS Glue, Airflow on AWS, AWS CloudWatch
Languages & Tools: Python, Spark (initial experience), Git, Terraform (nice to have)

Responsibilities

Handle Level 1 and Level 2 support for Data solutions
Analyze incidents and propose corrective actions
Participate in evolution studies and continuous improvement of the platform
Deliver all or part of Data solutions:
Requirements analysis
Technical design
Effort estimation
Development and deployment
Write technical and functional documentation
Work in pair with other consultants and share best practices

Required Skills

Good understanding of Cloud concepts: storage, access control, serverless, scalability, networking, monitoring
Practical knowledge of AWS Analytics & Big Data environment
Experience with AWS services: S3, Athena, EMR, Glue, Airflow
Strong proficiency in Python
Initial experience with Spark and Big Data environments
Proficiency with Git

Experience & Education

1 to 3 years of experience in a Data, Big Data, or Cloud environment
Degree in computer science, data engineering, or equivalent

Preferred Certifications

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
