Base Salary: $150,000 – $220,000
Equity: 0.25% – 2.00%

About the Role

As Engineer #1, you’ll work directly with the founders to build the product from the ground up and help shape the engineering culture. This is a true founding-team role with ownership across the entire stack—from AI systems to user-facing features and core infrastructure.

You’ll wear multiple hats, move quickly, and play a defining role in shaping both the product and the company.

What You’ll Do

Talk directly with users to deeply understand their needs and improve the product’s AI capabilities and user experience (expect ~10–20% of your time in support or customer conversations)
Ship full-stack features end-to-end
Build foundational platform components such as:
Storage
Payments
Authentication
Core application infrastructure
Improve the AI runtime to better handle edge cases and increase system reliability
Perform prompt engineering and run evaluations to improve AI output quality
Build scalable, production-grade infrastructure capable of supporting millions of applications

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of full-stack engineering experience
Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js
Proven track record of shipping production features end-to-end
High ownership mindset — you take features from idea to production
Ability to move quickly while maintaining quality and strong engineering practices
Strong product instincts and attention to UX and detail
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment
