Medical Advisor - Cardiology (First-in-Class Launch, Contract)

Location: UK (hybrid)

Duration: 6–9 months

Start: Immediate

A biopharma company is seeking a Medical Advisor with a strong background in cardiology to support the UK launch of a newly approved therapy in cardiovascular disease, focused on patients with difficult-to-treat hypertension.

This role requires someone comfortable operating independently in a launch environment, with strong external engagement and the ability to translate complex clinical data into meaningful scientific exchange.

Key Responsibilities

Lead external engagement with cardiology experts and specialist centres
Communicate clinical data clearly to support scientific exchange and education
Contribute to UK launch planning and medical strategy
Partner cross-functionally to support market access and insight generation
Provide medical input into materials in line with UK compliance standards

Requirements

Medical Affairs experience within cardiology or cardiovascular disease
Strong understanding of the UK healthcare and regulatory environment
Proven ability to engage credibly with KOLs and external experts
Experience supporting launch or pre-launch activities
Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data
Self-sufficient and able to work at pace in a contract role
UK-based with immediate or near-immediate availability
