Title: Senior Threat Analyst (Night Shift)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Duration: 24 months

Required hours - 35 hours/week

Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (includes weekends and holidays)

Job Overview:

We are reaching out with an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Senior Threat Analyst (Night Shift) supporting the cybersecurity operations of the City of New York.
This position plays a key role in protecting the city’s critical digital infrastructure and public services from emerging cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and analyze security events and alerts in real time.
Identify, investigate, and mitigate potential cyber threats.
Work with SOC leadership to develop and refine operational playbooks.
Lead and mentor junior analysts in incident response procedures.
Interface with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to coordinate threat management.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Threat Management, SOC, or Incident Response.
Proven leadership ability in SOC operations (mentoring analysts, shift management, escalation handling).
Strong technical expertise with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat detection tools.
Excellent communication skills and the flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Preferred Skills:

Proficient in malware analysis, threat hunting, and NetFlow/log analysis.
Strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
