For most AI companies, compute is becoming the biggest cost on the P&L. What used to be acceptable inefficiency is now a real bottleneck. Optimization is no longer optional — it is becoming one of the most important layers in AI.
That’s exactly what we’re building at R3AL.AI.
We’re creating plug-and-play AI optimization layers that make models faster, cheaper, more reliable, and more sustainable. Our tooling integrates directly into frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, helping teams improve performance through uncertainty quantification, out-of-distribution detection, and compute-saving optimization.
We’re early. Very early.
Which means this is not a “join a big team and own a narrow box” kind of role.
I’m a solo founder looking for someone sharp, ambitious, and genuinely excited to build from the ground up. Someone who wants to help shape the MVP, challenge ideas, move fast, and potentially stay for the long run as we grow.
This is a chance to get in early and have real influence on both the product and the company.
What you’ll do
As our Founding ML Engineer, you’ll work directly on the core of what we’re building: machine learning systems focused on optimization, efficiency, and scalability.
You’ll:
build and improve ML algorithms focused on performance and compute efficiency
turn strong technical ideas into practical product features
experiment fast, test rigorously, and help shape our technical direction
work closely with me on the MVP, product roadmap, and early strategy
help define the engineering culture and technical standards from day one
Who you are
You probably have:
strong fundamentals in machine learning, pattern recognition, and neural networks
a solid base in computer science, algorithms, and statistics
hands-on experience building in Python, ideally with PyTorch or TensorFlow
a real instinct for optimization — you care about making systems leaner, faster, and smarter
bonus points if you’ve worked on model optimization, uncertainty quantification, or out-of-distribution detection
But beyond the technical side, I’m looking for someone who:
likes ownership and has an entrepreneurial mindset
thinks like a builder
enjoys working in uncertainty
wants to be early, not comfortable
cares about building something that could genuinely matter

You won’t be joining as employee number 47 to optimize one tiny corner of a mature system. You’ll be one of the first people shaping what R3AL.AI becomes — technically, strategically, and culturally.
