Job Description
Devoteam Creative Tech is Devoteam Belgium's specialized department focused on cloud-native software engineering, application modernization, and Artificial Intelligence (including AI-native development and AI-infused applications).
Mission
Lead the architecture and development of scalable, cloud-native backend solutions using C# and the latest .NET ecosystems (.NET Core, ASP.NET Core).
Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, utilizing serverless components, microservices, and containerization (Azure Functions, Kubernetes/AKS, Azure Container Apps).
Mentor and guide the development team, creating a culture of technical excellence, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices (SOLID, DRY, Clean Architecture).
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications and roadmaps.
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including CI/CD pipeline automation (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
Ensure application security and compliance by implementing identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID) and secure coding standards from the ground up.
Evaluate and select technical tools and frameworks to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in cloud engineering.
Qualifications
Profile
Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring junior to senior developers and making high-level architectural decisions.
Expert-level problem-solving skills with a strong focus on system performance, reliability, and cost-optimization in a cloud environment.
Deep understanding of software design patterns, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, Event-Driven Architecture, and Microservices.
Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex architectural concepts to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Agile mindset, with extensive experience in Scrum or Kanban environments and a pragmatic approach to project delivery.
Commitment to continuous learning, actively staying updated with the Microsoft roadmap, cloud innovations, and emerging tech trends.
Fluency in Dutch or French and good command of English.
Technical Requirements
Mastery of C# and the .NET framework (.NET 10+ and ASP.NET Core).
Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Services, including App Services, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, and Key Vault.
Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and gRPC services, with a focus on security (OAuth2, OIDC) and performance.
Strong knowledge of ORM technologies such as Entity Framework Core and Dapper.
Experience with Containerization and Orchestration, specifically Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
(Optional/Strong Plus) Experience with AI-Assisted Software Engineering such as Coding Assistant (GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, or Claude Code Assist), Agentic Platforms (AntiGravity, Cursor, Kiro), or Agentic Frameworks
(Optional/Plus) Front-end competency in Blazor (or any Javascript/Typescript framework like React, Angular or Vue) for full-stack contribution or internal tooling.
