Job Details :

Job Description :
A senior data architect role responsible creating a data strategy across Front and Back Office.
The expectation will be to document and understand the current data architecture, create a future state design and roadmap to get there.
The strategy needs to consider data governance, categorization, tooling and data platforms.
The firm is in the middle of a transition programme to cloud, with existing systems and services being migrated onto AWS as part of a larger shift towards a cloud first model.
As such it is an exciting time to be joining the firm right now as we build out our cloud footprint to meet current needs and position ourselves for further growth.
Principal duties:
• Documentation and categorisation of firm’s enterprise data
• Designing data strategy including governance
• Design of enterprise data platform
• Mentor team with data architecture knowledge
• Contribute to the department Cloud strategy
Skills and Experiences:
• Substantial experience as a data architect
• Experience migrating and building enterprise data platforms in AWS
• Background in data development or engineering
• SQL
• Knowledge of the full trade lifecycle
• Self-starter and keen to drive initiatives to completion
• Keen intelligence and problem-solving ability
• Good communication / teamwork skills
Useful but not essential
Good knowledge of and/or experience in the following areas are a plus:
• Financial services domain knowledge
• Postgres / Aurora
• Spring, SpringBoot, JPA, Hibernate
• Maven, Jenkins
