The Role
We’re looking for an AI Engineer (NLP/GenAI) with at least three years of hands-on NLP experience to spearhead our next wave of product development. You will design, implement, and refine AI systems with the potential to revolutionise mental healthcare by delivering robust, accurate, and empathetic insights.

Key Responsibilities
Model Development: Fine-tune and adapt large language models, optimising for performance and domain-specific nuances.
Innovation: Experiment with cutting-edge transformer architectures and attention mechanisms to push the boundaries of NLP in mental health contexts.
Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians, data scientists, and product teams to translate complex requirements into scalable AI solutions.
Evaluation & Ethics: Develop robust assessment frameworks to ensure model quality, reliability, and ethical standards are upheld.

Essential Requirements
Education: Degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of professional ML/NLP engineering.
Technical Expertise:
Strong grounding in transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
Proven track record fine-tuning large language models
Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow
Track record of working with Vector Databases like Pinecone and RAG Systems
Location & Eligibility:
Right to work in the UK
On-site availability in Cambridge (flexible arrangements possible)

Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience with parameter-efficient training methods (LoRA, QLoRA, etc.)
Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation frameworks
Background working with domain-specific corpora or healthcare data
Expertise in building robust evaluation frameworks for AI models
Experience with distributed computing for large-scale ML
Demonstrated commitment to responsible AI development and ethical considerations
