Job Specifications

Financial Services Firm is hiring for a Junior Application Support Engineer for their team based in London.

This is a permanent role. The role offers a hybrid model with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. You will ideally have previous Financial Services experience or an interest in the Financial Technology area and have between 1-3 years experience in an application support-related role. The salary on offer is between £40K - £50K, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
Experienced in diagnosing and troubleshooting software issues quickly and effectively.
Understanding of Linux, SQL, and cloud technologies such as AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation).
Experience using Python, Docker containerization, and Git version control.
Familiar with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring and analysis.
Proven experience managing support tickets (JIRA Service Desk) and ensuring SLA adherence.

Skills and Attributes:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a client-first approach.
Proven problem-solving capability
Time management skills and the ability to establish reasonable deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Experience in customer facing positions
