Due to growth, we're now recruiting for a Senior Test Engineer to join our Investcentre team and help enhance our award-winning platform.
You will be joining a team which has a philosophy of continuous improvement, and a strong focus on engineering excellence.

Agile methodologies and a passion for continuous improvement and working in a high-performance engineering team.
Work with the team to design and deliver high quality products.
At AJ Bell we pair programme, and in most cases will pair with other members of the team.
What You'll Have
Understand and interpret business, functional, and technical requirements.
Lead conversations in stand-up, refinement, and retrospective sessions.
Automation - fix, maintain, and write new automation tests for our websites and API’s.
Lead others in using various testing tools to meet test requirements.
Experienced and confident enough to have input with developers and their approach to development level testing.
Mentor junior test engineers. Pairing with them via ongoing project work to upskill.
Have input into how solutions are developed and delivered using knowledge. and expertise to help deliver the best possible outcome for the customer
Carry out testing across a wide range of processes and systems - including UI, API, back office (workflow) processes, 3rd party systems and integrations between all these systems including end to end testing.
Execute test scripts and record results using software testing tools
Work alongside Technical Leads and Testers from Project inception to create and implement appropriate test automation approach to complement the manual testing and overall project deliveries.
Identify opportunities for testing improvement in existing or new functionality, explore suitable testing solutions, and demo POC where required.
You proactively seek Development, Design, Architecture, or specialised input when needed, and you know when it’s needed.
Support User Acceptance Testing and release to Production.
Agile / Scrum / Kanban.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Very motivated with high levels of drive and enthusiasm.
E-commerce and/or financial services experience.
