Job Summary:
As a Leverage Finance Associate at Jefferies, you will play a critical role in supporting the origination and execution of leveraged finance transactions. You will work closely with senior bankers to analyze financial data, create financial models, and contribute to the development of financing solutions for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Modeling:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including financial statement modeling, cash flow analysis, and credit analysis.
Build and maintain detailed financial models to assess the viability and risks associated with leveraged finance transactions.
Due Diligence:
Assist in the due diligence process by reviewing and analyzing relevant legal, financial, and industry information.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and ensure comprehensive due diligence.
Market Research:
Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities in the leveraged finance space.
Contribute to the preparation of market updates and industry research reports.
Deal Execution:
Support senior bankers in the execution of leveraged finance transactions, including deal structuring and documentation.
Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure a smooth and efficient closing process.
Client Interaction:
Build and maintain relationships with clients, participating in client meetings and presentations as needed.
Serve as a point of contact for clients on transaction-related matters.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other members of the investment banking team, including associates, analysts, and senior bankers, to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on leveraged finance.
Strong understanding of financial markets, accounting principles, and valuation techniques.
Proficient in financial modeling and analysis, including cash flow modeling and credit analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
