For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.
DIGIT A, in partnership with Commission services and other stakeholders, provides high quality corporate Business Solutions (Information Systems), common frameworks and interoperable, reusable components enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies.
DIGIT.A.4 builds, operates and supports re-usable solutions, promoting their use in information systems both in DIGIT and in the rest of the Commission. The reusable solutions are either developed internally or based on open source software, tailored to the needs of the European Commission.
Below are the details of your role and requirements.
Your role
Development, maintenance and evolutive changes of Java Spring( Kafka, DB Orcle) applications
Ensure security of applications.
Read and understand BPMN and UML models
Read and understand functional requirements
Implement existing functional requirements
Apply implementation best practices
Review, test and debug existing code
Prepare JUnit Test scenarios and cases
Implement JUnit Test scenarios and cases
Configuration and management of infrastructure
Document different development phases
Assistance to other team members in development, testing, configuration, documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting
Implement existing functional requirements using eUI framework
Prepare UI Test scenarios and cases
Implement UI Test scenarios and cases
Implement core business logic.
Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.
Taking lead on projects, as needed.
Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
Meet both technical and consumer needs.
Write technical documentation

Requirements:
Who we think you are:
At least 3 years of specific expertise in one or more of the following:
Experience with middleware integration platforms. Experience with micro-services, macro-services and event-management based architectures
Expertise in using Java Spring & API
Kafka Message Broker
Relational DB Oracle
Elastic DB
Strong expertise in process analysis for streamlining and automation. Familiarity with the contemporary tools and techniques for process automation. Business Process Management and Modelling techniques, BPMN 2.0 specification. Strong knowledge and experience with Camunda framework to apply executable BPMN specification subset restrictions and Camunda specific configuration
Expertise in Continuous Integration and Deployment
Working experience with the following tools: GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Nexus, Crucible, Jenkins and Sonar.
Modern DevSecOps Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
