Job Title : Business Analyst (Derivatives) – Contract Role
Location : London

Are you a skilled Business Analyst with experience in derivatives trading and a passion for delivering impactful solutions? Join our dynamic team and work directly with traders and IT to drive innovation in a fast-paced front-office environment.

About the Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst to collaborate with derivatives traders and developers, defining business requirements, supporting solution delivery, and driving continuous improvement. This is a business-facing role, requiring excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels, including C-suite executives.

Key Responsibilities
Define requirements, propose solutions, and broker decisions.
Work with developers to deliver and support UAT.
Provide third-line support to traders.
Ensure IT solutions align with business needs and revenue objectives.
Identify and recommend system/process improvements.

What You Bring

Hard Skills:
Strong understanding of Python (or similar) and SQL.
Experience working with large and complex data sets.
Comfortable interfacing with mathematical models.
Familiarity with ETRM systems and the trade lifecycle is a plus.

Soft Skills:
Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
Strong team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
Ability to translate complex business needs into IT solutions.
Agile mindset with experience delivering in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.

Experience:
Proven experience in technical business analysis.
Exposure to front-office trading environments (energy, commodities, or similar).
Understanding of derivatives products (especially options) is a strong advantage.
Previous experience in Agile delivery methodologies.

Education: Degree (or equivalent experience) in a numerate subject.
