To strengthen our Quality Team we are looking for a QUALITY ENGINEER (M/F)
Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. With more than 75 years of experience, and up to 20 international Part 145 certifications (EASA/ FAA/ CAAC/ …), Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is recognized as a worldwide center of expertise in the air transport industry. To strengthen our Quality Team we are looking for a QUALITY ENGINEER (M/F)
Your role:
You prepare and submit certification files to national authorities and certification bodies.
You analyze quality standards, norms, customer specifications, contracts and aviation regulations and adapt Internal procedures or manuals, or draft new procedures.
You organize and supervise external audits of customers, authorities and certification organisations and handle the findings.
You are part of the validation process of suppliers and subcontractors and monitor the process regarding the quality of the delivered products and services.
You support the owners of the processes in dealing with quality deviations/findings, using quality basic techniques.
You propose actions to improve the efficiency of the business processes.
You prepare presentations and provide training to colleagues on quality topics.
You participate in multidisciplinary projects.
You conduct internal quality audits, provide reporting of findings and follow up on corrective actions.
You assist in the statistical analysis of data and its reporting.
You participate in QRQC deployment and coach QRQC pilots.
You provide analytical advice during non-conformities investigations.
You treat customer complaints and prepare customer replies in collaboration with Accounts.
You ensure traceability of corrective measures and investigations.
You analyze processes with the objective to detect inefficiencies and propose roads for improvement.
Your profile :
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent through experience.
Good communication skills, you speak fluently French and English and also have a good knowledge Dutch (speaking, understanding and writing).
You are analytical and editorially minded.
You are creative in finding solutions within the established framework.
You can work independently and are committed to expand your knowledge through self-study and research.
You are open minded, work in a structured way and you can motivate people with regards to the quality and safety policy of the company.
Additional qualifications that may help you in this role (but not a must have) include:
Experience in quality and safety management in aviation
Knowledge of standards and guidelines from national and international aviation authorities (EN9110, EASA part 145, etc)
Knowledge of quality management systems
Knowledge of aircraft engines, metrology
Knowledge of process management
Knowledge and ability to apply quality techniques and methodologies, such as problem solving techniques (8D, Ishikawa, flow charts, , ...), audit techniques.
You are European Citizen or you have a permanent Belgian visa and work permit.
