Data Engineer – Azure, Data Factory, Synapse & Fabric - Remote

This is an Azure Data Engineer role (Azure, Data Factory, Synapse & Fabric) for a leading environmental services company based in the Southeast.

This role is going to be a redesign and redevelopment of their platform solution and data platform on Azure. You will work closely with the team to implement their data strategy, whilst leveraging your expertise to collaborate with a cross functional team, sharing knowledge and working closely.
As the Azure Data Engineer, you will take ownership of moving their pipeline through the script environment, ensuring efficient scripting, controls, and release transitions from development through to production.

If you have used both Terraform and PySpark previously it would be welcome as they would look at you to optimize their data platform and ensure high efficiency in managing cloud-based pipelines.

Requirements:
Hands on experience with Azure, Data Factory and Azure Synapse.
Proven Experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure technologies.
Good understanding with Microsoft Azure Fabric for managing and orchestrating data.
Good stakeholder management with the ability to translate requirements
Extensive knowledge of data modelling, ETL / ELT processes, and data integration best practices.
Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements.
Experience with modelling datasets for the use of Power BI.
Experience with data lakes, data modelling, and cloud-based data pipelines.
