We are exclusively engaged on a confidential mandate to identify a London-based Head of Operations and Technology for a well-established, globally active investment firm. The ideal candidate will come from a buy-side or capital markets environment and have significant experience leading operational infrastructure, while also managing or overseeing technology functions.

This is not a traditional COO seat, but rather a hybrid role for someone who understands the intersection of operations, technology, and data — someone who has led middle- and back-office functions, driven workflow automation, worked closely with vendors and MSPs, and been accountable for trade lifecycle, post-trade processing, and regulatory controls across a global footprint.

Key experience includes:
Leadership over Ops teams in asset management, hedge funds, or proprietary trading firms
Exposure to technology governance, including oversight of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud environments
Familiarity with OMS/PMS/EMS platforms and the broader investment systems landscape
Strong vendor and third-party relationship management
Practical understanding of data residency, disaster recovery, and risk/compliance frameworks (MiFID II, EMIR, GDPR)
A mindset geared toward efficiency, automation, and transformation, without increasing headcount

This is a high-impact, senior position with visibility across all business lines. It requires someone who can bridge operational execution with technical enablement — ideally someone who has run global ops while also managing technologists, or partnered closely with CTOs/CIOs.
