Job Specifications

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead the engineering efforts for a large-scale automation project within a warehouse and distribution environment. The ideal candidate will bring over 8 years of expertise in automation engineering, with a strong background in enterprise system integration.

Project information:

Duration: A few months to begin with but overall long term
Working style: Willingness to work on-site, but hybrid possibility to be considered

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage business plans, project timelines, resource requirements, and budget forecasts.
Provide strategic direction and oversight to vendor partners in the design, implementation, and operation of automation systems.
Ensure integration of systems with existing infrastructure, adhering to standard practices in software, hardware, safety, security, and IT compliance.
Support global compliance strategies, addressing regulatory requirements related to warehouse control systems.
Represent engineering in cross-functional team meetings and support project objectives.
Prepare and communicate a clear implementation proposal for system updates, including resource planning, risk mitigation, and interdependencies.
Monitor and manage project risks, initiate corrective actions, and escalate critical issues as needed.
Coordinate across workstreams to identify system and process interdependencies and ensure aligned execution.
Maintain regular and transparent communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

At least 8 years of experience in automation engineering with integration into ERP, WMS, or MES systems.
Proven track record in large-scale automation and software integration projects involving cross-functional collaboration.
Familiarity with validation and software lifecycle practices.
Knowledge of server, network, or cloud computing infrastructure.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
