WHAT - Summary & Purpose Of The Position
The Global HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner to the defined leadership team members, aligning HR strategies with business objectives to drive organizational success. This role involves providing comprehensive HR support, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development, to ensure the supported function operates efficiently and effectively. Ability to step in for the Global HRBP Lead for specific projects and topics. The role supports the leadership teams of the Global Medical, Legal & Corporate Affairs divisions and partners directly with selected leaders in scope per delegation.
WHAT - Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
The main responsibilities are covering the following areas:
Strategic HR Partnership:
Collaborate with senior leaders and the Global HRBP lead to develop and implement HR strategies that support the business goals and objectives.
Provide strategic HR leadership to the leaders in scope and is accountable to develop and execute HR strategies to achieve and maintain high levels of employee engagement and a performance-driven culture.
Align with COEs and local HRBPs to ensure smooth and effective HR operations aligned with business strategy.
Operational HR Partnership:
Operate with a bias for action, raising issues and bring recommended solutions, partner with senior leaders in a clear way, simple and user friendly.
Build strong relationships with sponsors and other key stakeholders across the business who support and lead change efforts.
Funnel appropriate messages and communications to drive clear priorities and meet project timelines.
Proactively identify pain points and areas that require improvement and bring stakeholders together to define and implement solutions.
Build, monitor and ensure consistency of dashboards and KPIs across supported functions to ensure compliance with COE and budget guidelines:
Preparation and tracking of HR campaigns (Performance Review, Talent Review, Annual Compensation Review, Development)
Follow closely KPI’s related to people and salary mass in order to guarantee efficiency and productivity gain/containment that answers Business strategy.
Consolidate employee movement data (promotions, terminations, transfers), HR headcount and budget at the operational, site and geographic level, in liaison with the HRs and key stakeholders
Support consolidation from Budget / Forecast / Strategic Plan reviews for division/functions
Talent Management & Acquisition:
Lead talent management initiatives in partnership with the Global HRBP Lead, including talent acquisition, development, succession planning, and retention strategies for the supported functions.
Directly prepare Leaders for management meetings (e.g. talent reviews, performance calibration, other such as town halls where applicable etc.).
In collaboration with COEs and HR Operations ensure management and compliance on Workday processes.
Support Global HR Lead and Business leaders to identify main capabilities gaps for the division/function and coordinate accordingly the Division/Functions learning and development needs with global L&D team for shaping the required offer
Organizational Development:
In partnership with the Global HRBP Lead, drive organizational design and change management initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the supported functions.
Work with leadership to enable transformation; assessing the people and capabilities and ensure proper resource allocation, up skill where needed
Compensation and Benefits: Advise on compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent and promote equity.
Contribute to the promotion of equity and diversity, in accordance with the Ipsen business ethics and values.
Employee Relations: Provide guidance to senior leaders on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies for supported functions in collaboration with local HR.
Knowledge & Experience (essential)
Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR business partner role. Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus.
Strong knowledge of HR principles, labour laws, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
Education / Certifications (essential)
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification preferred.
Language(s) (essential)
English, French is a plus.
