As our Squad Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind our high-performing, strategic marketing squad at STRAREX. You’ll lead a fixed team of junior, medior, and senior marketeers — combining strategic insight, operational excellence, and people leadership — while managing two client projects end-to-end. You’ll set the standard for quality, clarity, and proactivity, and ensure we deliver impactful work without constant leadership intervention.
You’ll work closely with our COO and leadership team to coach talent, uphold the STRAREX way of working, and contribute to our growth through knowledge sharing and process improvements.
As STRAREX's Squad Lead, you'll:
Lead your squad in planning, quality control, and delivery, ensuring strategic alignment, capacity planning, and clear task distribution across all squad members. You manage workload distribution and resolve resourcing challenges proactively.
Own and manage 2 client projects end-to-end, from strategic planning to execution and performance optimization. You take full accountability of delivery, timelines, and quality, ensuring that results align with agreed KPIs and client expectations.
Coach and grow talent: Develop juniors and mediors through regular 1-on-1s, feedback loops, and structured growth plans. You conduct competency evaluations, set annual goals, and contribute to reviews and promotion decisions alongside the COO.
Safeguard operational excellence by applying and reinforcing our core tools and rituals (Spark, Notion, planners, retros, etc.). You identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and uphold a strong culture of process discipline.
Ensure quality control in output and delivery: Review key deliverables before they go to the client, challenge the strategic logic behind the work, and ensure storytelling, design, and execution are consistent with client objectives and STRAREX standards.
Follow up on performance and reporting: Monitor campaign results and team performance across clients. You support Project Leads in interpreting data, crafting strategic narratives, and preparing impactful client presentations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with tech and creative teams to ensure all squad work connects to the broader strategic picture. You facilitate clear briefings, debriefs, and ensure seamless integration of team input.
Manage stakeholder relationships: Act as an escalation point for squad-related issues. You manage internal and external expectations, ensure transparent communication with clients, and track client satisfaction regularly (e.g. through NPS or feedback moments).
Contribute to internal operations: Track and follow up on squad billability, support input into P&L forecasting, and ensure tool adoption is consistent. You share knowledge and mentor future squad leads to strengthen the organization.

You lead with structure, clarity, and empathy — and aren’t afraid to call out vague, last-minute or low-quality work. You're a strong communicator, a problem solver, and a role model in both attitude and output.
The experience & mindset that will set you up for success:
Proven leadership in marketing delivery: 5–8 years of experience in strategic or performance marketing, with a strong track record in project ownership and team leadership — ideally in a consulting or agency environment.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset: You can zoom out to shape a long-term strategy and zoom in to drive flawless execution with your team.
Compelling communicator and storyteller: Whether facilitating a client workshop or presenting results to a CEO, you bring energy, structure, and trust to every conversation.
Emphatic team leader but holds high standards: You support and coach your team, but you’re not afraid to push back when quality slips or expectations aren’t met.
Structured and calm under pressure: When things get messy, you bring clarity, structure, and decisive next steps.
Builder mindset with operational focus: You love building scalable systems and repeatable processes. You don’t just fix problems — you prevent them.
Driven, persistent and extra mile: You don’t wait for things to happen — you make them happen. You don’t stop at your own to-do list — you take responsibility for team output and client results.
Fluent in Dutch and English: Both written and spoken. You're comfortable navigating local and international settings.
Low ego, high energy: You bring ambition, team spirit, and a good sense of humor. No fluff, just forward motion.
