ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
We want you to be a part of our team, from Brussels, as a Business analyst.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
• Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers
• Business Analysis of Learning Management Systems (LMS) Requirements:
Analyse and document the current Moodle environment, including its customizations, integrations, and data structures.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops in a structured manner and in a multi stakeholders context to gather detailed requirements for the migration to a modern, supported Moodle version(s) or other LMS. Map them to open-source existing plugins already available.
Evaluate the feasibility of alternative LMS, multiple Moodle instances and define the criteria for their implementation.
• Stakeholder Management (Communication and Collaboration)
Communicate effectively with technical teams, management, and end-users.
Facilitate meetings and workshops with multiple stakeholders with competing requirements. to gather requirements and provide updates.
Interact closely with developers, project leaders, users, and other business analysts.
Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analysis and Documentation of Moodle Customizations:
Thoroughly analyse and document existing, undocumented Moodle customizations.
Assess the impact of these customizations on the upgrade to a newer version process and future maintenance.
Willingness to understand the plugins in Moodle and interest in developing a plugin policy for the project
Recommend strategies for migrating or replacing customizations.
Provide advice on Moodle best practices and standards.
• Requirements Analysis for Multilingual Moodle Implementation:
Analyse and document requirements for supporting multilingual content and user experiences in the Moodle environment.
• Requirements Analysis for Data Warehousing and Reporting:
Analyse and document requirements for data warehousing and reporting solutions to support data-driven decision-making.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting needs for various stakeholders.
Analyse the data available, and how to make it available for reporting.
Design and document reporting requirements to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
Produce data flow diagrams (UML, ARIS, similar).
• Documentation and Training:
Prepare comprehensive documentation on the new Moodle environment, including customizations, configurations, and reporting solutions.
Help develop and deliver training materials for administrators.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
Ability to give business and technical presentations
Ability to apply high quality standards
Strong process mapping and improvement skills (UML, BPMN, ARIS or similar).
Skilled in analysing and documenting undocumented systems.
Capability to write clear and structured technical and business documents and present/defend them
Experience in a risk management context of at least 1 year is sought
Ability to create and implement IT controls efficiently as well as to follow up on it
Very good knowledge of Moodle architecture, functionality, and database structure (or a strong willingness to learn)
At least 2 year experience in a e-learning context, preferably Moodle
At least 2 years’ experience in stakeholder management in a multi-stakeholder international environment
Experience with modelling using the BPMN, ARIS (or other similar) tools
Experience in business analyst role in large-scale IT software application development projects
Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1 level)
The following are considered advantageous and useful for better fulfilling the tasks of the position:
• Business assessment, risk assessment experience and skills
• Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence, Atlassian JIRA, PHP, MySQL, Power BI or similar, familiarity with AWS cloud.
• Agile certification.
• Business Analysis certification (CBAP or similar).
• Service level management or success management of IT solutions experience of at least 1 year.
• Stakeholder management, preferably in an e-learning context.
