About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking engineering leader to drive operational excellence across our platforms. This role will focus on strengthening capacity planning, observability, and operational controls to ensure performance, resilience, and scalability in a complex, fast-paced environment.
You’ll work at the intersection of infrastructure, engineering, and risk, applying SRE principles to shape strategies that enhance system reliability and governance. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strategic scope, ideal for someone who thrives in technically diverse environments and can partner effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and evaluation of platform-wide capacity management and observability frameworks.
Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to uncover performance risks, automate controls, and close operational gaps.
Review and assess current tools, data flows, and engineering processes to identify improvement areas and recommend solutions.
Partner closely with architecture, engineering, risk, and infrastructure teams to validate technical designs and implementation plans.
Define reusable tooling strategies and technical patterns to support long-term operational sustainability.
Contribute to the development of roadmaps, tooling assessments, and documentation to support governance and control objectives.
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of experience in engineering, infrastructure, or architecture roles within complex, high-scale environments.
Deep understanding of compute, storage, and network capacity planning across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-native systems.
Hands-on experience with observability tools and monitoring platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Geneos, AppDynamics).
Familiarity with SRE methodologies including SLIs/SLOs, incident response, and automation of operational tasks.
Strong ability to interpret technical control requirements and embed them into engineering solutions.
Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for senior stakeholders and governance teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing or enhancing operational controls related to capacity, performance, and availability.
Exposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks (e.g., DORA, EBA, PRA).
Background in systems diagnostics, service reliability engineering, or platform resilience.
Why Join Us?
You’ll play a key role in shaping how we manage risk, scale systems, and ensure operational excellence. You'll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team in a business that values technical innovation and rigorous standards.
