We are seeking a SharePoint/Microsoft 365 Consultant to provide the following services to our IT Services team (6 months Contract). The consultant will work on developping a wide range of applications and business processes based on the Microsoft M365 stack. This engagement offers an exciting and unique opportunity for the consultant to utilise their existing knowledge of SharePoint Online development and the range of M365 applications to help develop our SharePoint infrastructure.
The consultant will gather requirements from various stakeholders and turn those ideas into working systems that will enhance business efficiency and ultimately have a positive impact on the user experience.
Scope of Work
The consultant will provide the following services:
Development and Support:
Design, develop, configure, and implement SharePoint Online applications using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Client Side Object Model (CSOM), and SharePoint REST service
Create and maintain custom SharePoint Online sites and solutions
Develop Power BI Business Intelligence reports and dashboards
Manage site content, capabilities, and maintenance of existing portals
Power Platform Expertise:
Utilise Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to build enterprise-scale applications and solutions
Ensure adherence to processes, standards, and best practices
Communication and Training:
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Train business users of all levels and abilities
Capture, confirm, and document requirements from users and stakeholders
Security and Compliance:
Ensure access to information is restricted to authorised personnel
Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to address SharePoint security vulnerabilities
Support and Reporting:
Action assigned ServiceNow support tickets (both incidents and requests)
Prepare monthly performance reports for the IT Director
Additional Services:
Experience with SharePoint's application services framework, including Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services
Knowledge of 3rd party tools such as Sharegate.
Full scope of work with deliverables and objectives will be made available during a technical validation meeting.
This is a contract opportunity offered subject to IR35 compliance checks.
Requirements
Profile of the Consultant
Experience:
Proven experience in developing and supporting SharePoint Online environments
Strong background with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate)
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools
Development experience with C#, .NET, Web Services, Web Forms, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, React, JSON, Web APIs, Visual Studio, and API integrations is beneficial but not required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, error-free deliverables
Experience in developing ServiceNow environments is a plus
