An opportunity has opened up for a hands-on, technically strong Cyber Security Analyst to support a high-growth tech business during a busy transition period.

This is a 3-month contract ideal for an experienced contractor with a background in security operations and engineering, who can hit the ground running, take ownership of operational security systems, and help maintain and improve the organisation’s security posture.

What You’ll Be Doing
Monitoring the security posture of systems and driving continuous improvements
Identifying vulnerabilities and working to mitigate or resolve them
Supporting vulnerability management across IT, Networks, and Systems Engineering teams
Contributing to the evaluation and implementation of cyber security tools
Testing security infrastructure (software and hardware) to ensure effectiveness
Developing and testing playbooks for incident response and vulnerability management
Leading or assisting in response and remediation of security incidents
Creating and maintaining security metrics and reporting tools
Participating in third-party risk assessments and vendor evaluations
Promoting security best practices across multiple teams and departments

You’ll Need To Have:
Solid experience in a Cyber Security Analyst or Security Operations role (ideally 4+ years)
Strong hands-on experience operating and maintaining security systems
A technical background (engineering/system/network) with a security focus
Familiarity with modern infrastructure including cloud environments
Proven ability to respond to incidents and run operational security processes
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
A methodical, detail-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:
Industry certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, or CISM
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth or scaling tech environments
