Role Overview
As Project Director for construction, you will oversee the full lifecycle of hyperscale data center construction projects, from pre-design through commissioning and handover. This is a key leadership role responsible for project delivery, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
You will manage multidisciplinary teams, interface directly with clients, and ensure our projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
Pre-Design & Contracting
Provide technical insight during client negotiations and early-stage planning.
Define project scopes, cost plans, and milestone schedules.
Lead contract review and approval processes, ensuring alignment with legal and insurance standards.
Serve as the client’s main point of contact across the full project lifecycle.
Project Execution & Delivery
Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary construction teams.
Oversee execution to ensure alignment with technical, commercial, and contractual goals.
Supervise procurement activities and monitor subcontractor performance.
Drive project reporting, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.
Ensure quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance on all project sites.
Lead project completion efforts including snagging, handover, and client satisfaction.
Financial & Schedule Management
Establish and manage project cost baselines and profitability metrics.
Monitor project budgets, billing, and any contract variations.
Ensure alignment with internal financial and schedule targets.
Leadership & Growth
Mentor and develop (Senior) Project Managers and Assistants.
Play an active role in hiring and evaluating team performance.
Promote a high-performance, collaborative culture within the project delivery teams.
Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and long-term organizational development.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
5–10 years of progressive experience managing large construction projects (preferably within an EPCM or general contractor environment).
Experience delivering hyperscale data centers or similarly complex industrial/infrastructure projects.
Bilingual fluency in English and French is essential.
Strong leadership, financial acumen, and client relationship skills.
Additional Information
Frequent travel to construction sites across France is required.
Project scale and complexity will vary, offering continuous learning and growth.
