2 Months Contract
Part-Time (1-2 Days per week)
Fully Remote
(Outside IR35)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Information Protection Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, Unstructured Data, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Insider Risk Management to join our client on a Part-Time consulting contract.

The successful candidate will support two projects, advisory and delivery-focused aimed at strengthening their data governance and security posture through Microsoft technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic guidance and best practice support across:
Auto-labelling within Microsoft Purview and its practical implementation
Review and development of DLP use cases, including sanity-checking pre-existing ones
Best practices for verifying labelled data against defined use cases
Advisory support on Insider Risk Management, tailoring it to the client’s context
Lead a comprehensive Discovery engagement to assess and plan for a Microsoft Purview pilot implementation. Activities include:
Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and define project objectives around labelling and DLP
Identify pilot users and relevant device types (incl. OS variations)
Map out current file repositories and sensitive information sources
Define manual and automatic labelling strategies and DLP settings
Establish Insider Risk Management objectives and criteria
Document gaps and improvement areas within the current environment
Provide informal knowledge transfer on labelling approaches and user adoption strategies

Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience delivering Microsoft Purview, Unstructured Data, Information Protection, or Compliance solutions
Strong knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Auto-labelling
Hands-on experience with Insider Risk Management within Microsoft 365
Ability to facilitate workshops, capture requirements, and translate them into actionable plans
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders

Desirable:
Microsoft Certifications in Security, Compliance, and Identity
Experience working in consultancy or partner environments
Familiarity with user adoption and change management best practices
