Location: Handsworth Wood, Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Daily Rate: £90 – £100 per day

Elevate Supply is working with a welcoming primary school in Handsworth Wood to recruit a primary PE Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for graduates in Sports Science, PE, or a related field who are looking to gain experience in a school setting and support the physical development of children.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in education, teaching, or child development.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of PE and physical activities
Help lead structured play, movement sessions, and group games
Encourage pupil participation, coordination, and motor skills development
Work alongside class teachers to promote active learning
Assist with classroom activities and general support when needed

What We’re Looking For

A degree in PE, Sports Science, or a related subject
A confident, positive, and proactive approach to working with children
Good communication skills and the ability to engage younger pupils
Some experience working with children is a bonus, but not essential
Willingness to learn and support across various activities in school
