About the Role
Consol Partners are currently seeking a Senior Application Architect to join their clients expert technical team in the design, development, and integration of complex IT systems. This is a strategic and hands-on role that demands a comprehensive understanding of software architecture, data modelling, and modern development practices.

You will lead architectural reviews, coordinate development teams, and serve as the technical interface between project leaders and developers. This role involves active participation in architecture design, technical documentation, working groups, and code quality assurance.

Your Responsibilities
Design and architecture of complex information systems
Review and improve existing system architectures
Design component architecture and reusable building blocks
Analyse and facilitate integration between diverse systems
Conduct data analysis and create logical data models
Coordinate technical implementation of architecture solutions
Act as a liaison between project leadership and technical teams
Produce and maintain software architecture documentation
Participate in technical meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions
Provide support in testing, deployment, technical documentation, and evaluation
Conduct and oversee software code reviews

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field (minimum 4 years of higher education)

Experience: Minimum 6 years in IT, including:
At least 2 years in information system architecture and design
At least 2 years in software development
At least 2 years using UML or CASE tools

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Strong experience with:
Service Bus Architecture
Relational databases
Web technologies
Linux, UNIX, or AIX enterprise environments
Microservices architecture
Java and JavaScript development

Deep knowledge of:
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Software application design
Object-oriented programming
Modelling tools
Interoperability technologies (e.g. web services, messaging, service bus)
Software code quality and code review techniques
Familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus
